This is a pivotal clinical study in the field of brace treatment: for adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis who are at risk of progression, a brace can lower the risk of the curve progressing to the threshold at which surgery is discussed — and the more sufficient the wear time, the more pronounced the protective effect tends to be.
