This study helps patients and families understand that scoliosis follow-up does involve repeated imaging, but the radiation levels of ordinary follow-up X-rays, CT, and fluoroscopy are not the same; the goal of reasonable follow-up is to judge in time whether the curve is progressing. The point is not “never take films,” but, under a doctor's judgment, to reduce unnecessary exams, choose suitable imaging methods, and balance risk against benefit.
