This review helps make clear that PSSE is not ordinary stretching, yoga, core training, or “posture correction,” but a class of scoliosis-specific exercises centered on the curve type, 3D self-correction, postural control, breathing, stabilization, and integration into daily life; it can be part of AIS conservative management, but must be individualized, carried out long-term, and cannot replace Cobb angle follow-up, a brace assessment, or the doctor's treatment plan.

This page is a plain-words guide to a published paper — for health education and doctor–patient communication only, not a diagnosis or treatment advice. If you think you might have scoliosis, see an orthopedic or spine specialist.
